Corporate Team Building

Team Building is on the minds of many corporate training professionals today.  How do I get my team to develop trust and better communication skills?  How can we enhance our existing training and build our team up to a high performance group?  Many camps offer a ropes course, or teambuilding program, but will it really help?  A ropes course, or challenge course can be an effective tool, but only when it is facilitated properly!  The key to this team building piece is in the conducting of the corporate retreat.  Teambuilding professionals agree that an experienced-based learning retreat is most effective when properly front-loaded and debriefed.  The transfer of learning is maximized when connections are made from the team building activities to the office environment.  The “Aha!” moment where that connection occurs is what makes team building so effective.  When you can pull a group out of its everyday environment, get them to a camp, or a park, and into a fun environment, a most unusual thing will occur.  The group will bond, grow in trust, leadership will emerge, and synergy will take place.

Venture Out! at the Joy Outdoor Education Center provides a team building experience unmatched by anyone in the region.  We approach teambuilding from the Native American Medicine Wheel, with four compass points: Leadership, Vision, Community, and Process Improvement.  With eleven high ropes course adventures, and over one hundred low ropes course and portable initiatives, we can customize a program to fit your needs, and design a team building experience that will have the most impact for your team.  Venture Out! also offers team building programs that can come to you!  We have portable programs to bring to your environment if you can’t come to us.  Team building can take place anywhere, and a corporate retreat at our location or yours might be the kick your group needs to get everyone rowing in the same direction!  We can’t bring a ropes course, but many of our experience-based learning initiatives travel well, and are very effective tools for bringing real change to your organization.
