The JOEC Foundation was formed in June 2007. The
foundation is responsible for all fund raising and coordination of
donations on behalf of Joy Outdoor Education Center, LLC., which
continues to offer and operate its Camp programs, the Outdoor School
Program, Venture Out!, and the Youth and Community Leadership program.
Through Joy Annual Fund giving, you too
can change lives.
Tierra Alexander's
message is simple and straightforward:
"This camp changes so many lives.
Counselors changed my life.
That's why I came back here.
I want to change lives."
Through the generosity
of donors, Tierra started coming to Joy
Outdoor
Education
Center's
Camp Joy in 1999 as a camper through the Boys
& Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati.
She has returned in some capacity every summer since, until the
past two years when she worked as a camp counselor.
A gift to the
2008-2009 Joy Annual Fund will help provide youth like Tierra with
opportunities to participate in JOEC's Camp
Joy
or other youth programs, which "help people grow and succeed through
life-long, experience-based learning."
The goal is to raise
$90,000 for 2009 programs.
Please consider donating $425 (the cost of a five-day summer camp
program experience) or $150 (the cost of the average outdoor school
program visit).
Donations can be made
online by using any Donate Now link on this website or by regular mail
to Joy Outdoor Education Center Foundation,

Giving Opportunities
Joy Outdoor Education Center is able to provide a
wide variety of outdoor programs to children, youth and families who
otherwise could not afford the experience. Our budget
consists of revenue generated from other programs and from the generous
contributions of foundations, corporations, civic groups, and
individuals who share the responsibility with JOEC of preparing today's
youth for healthy, productive lives.
There are a number of ways to contribute to JOEC.
If you are interested in any of these giving opportunities, please call
(888)611-4569 or email Carol Martin at

Does your giving make a difference? We believe
whole heartedly that it does - and so do the youth and families we
serve. Below is a copy of a letter sent to JOEC from a grateful
parent:
To the
Staff,
I just
wanted you all to know that my son had the time of his life.
He
came back home both exhausted and extremely happy.
He also made new friends and said that the food was extremely
good.
He was
so excited about his mentor and his leaders there.
I am at work and can't remember their names but they treated my
son with the upmost respect and showed him a wonderful time.
Please
accept this note of thanks from a single parent who benefited in many
ways from the Scholarship that was provided.
I wanted you to know that as a parent I couldn't have asked for
more.
Hope
he can come next year! Oh
by the way, He caught a really nice big fish and you all took his
picture with the fish.
(smile)
Thanks, M.S., Parent of a Joy Camper
