Camp
Camp Joy is a
residential summer camp for boys and girls ages 7-15. It is a place to
experience the out-of-doors in a safe rural setting, providing a diverse
population of youth from the Southern Ohio region with an
experience-based, residential camping experience. Children of all races,
ethnic backgrounds, religions, and income levels may attend.
THE JOY EXPERIENCE
• Gain interpersonal and personal
skills (increased self-confidence and social skills).
• Make new friends with youth who lead similar lives.
• Experience healthy challenges from living in cabins to tackling high
ropes courses.
• Develop lasting relationships with role models.
• And most importantly have LOTS of FUN!
RESIDENT CAMP PROGRAMS
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater
Cincinnati (ages
7-15) • June 9-13
This residential camp is designed
specifically for Boys & Girls Club members. The program includes crafts,
ropes courses, swimming, campfires, and much more. The teen program
(ages 13-15) operates out of a rustic village and focuses on teamwork
and leadership through adventure activities. Contact Boys & Girls Clubs

Agency Week
(ages 7-15) • June
16-20
This residential camp is designed
specifically for youth affiliated with the foster care system. The
program includes crafts, ropes courses, swimming, campfires, and much
more. The teen program (ages 13-15) operates out of a rustic village and
focuses on teamwork and leadership through adventure activities.
Open
Enrollment/Agency Camp (ages 7-15)
• Two Sessions: June 23-27 or June 30-July 4
This residential camp includes crafts,
ropes courses, swimming, campfires, and much more. The teen program
(ages 13-15) operates out of a rustic village and focuses on teamwork
and leadership through adventure activities.
Core Camp
(ages 12-16) • July
7-11
This camp serves as leadership
development training for a year-long commitment as a Core Camper. Core
Campers will meet monthly in Cincinnati to develop programs for camp and
to perform community service. This camp is by application and interview
process and is limited to 40 campers.
Leader-in-Training (LIT)
(ages 15-16) •
July 16-25
The LIT program is designed for youth who
are interested in developing leadership skills. During an intense 10-day
experience, LITs develop leadership skills
through community service projects, off-site trips, high ropes courses,
and experience working with younger campers. LITs stay in primitive
shelters and cook some of their own meals over a camp fire. This program
is limited to 15 campers.
Camp Reunite
(ages 7-16) • July
28-August 1
This residential camp is designed to
bring together biological siblings separated in different placements for
a sibling camp experience. The program includes family activities,
crafts, adventure, talent shows, games, teambuilding, canoeing, nature
and more.
Police/Youth “Live-In” Camp
(ages 10-12) • July
28-August 1
This residential camp is in
partnership with Bridges for a Just Community and the Cincinnati Police
Department. Youth live in the cabins with officers and camp counselors,
participate in traditional camp activities, watch special unit
presentations (such as the SWAT team), and learn
