Joy Outdoor Education Center was originally founded
in 1938 as a summer camp for children from disadvantaged
backgrounds. Since that time, JOY has grown into a year-round
operation serving children, schools, families, businesses, and
organizations.
JOEC's beautiful 315-acre campus is located in
Clarksville, Ohio (Warren County) and is within 35 miles of Cincinnati
and Dayton. Modern meeting, overnight, and dining facilities are
nestled amongst JOEC's rolling hills, meadows, and woods.

WHAT IS EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING?
The goal of any teacher is to achieve
learning that lasts - lessons that will not be forgotten when the class
is over. Whether youngsters or adults, the lessons that last are those
that we learn in a multi-sensory way. That is experience-based learning. JOY
Outdoor Education Center enhances traditional classroom learning by
exposing students of all ages to the outdoor classrooms, providing
introspective programs to enable people to grow.
JOY Outdoor
Education Center is an outstanding laboratory and sanctuary for
environmental learning and personal development.
JOY is a learning
center for all seasons and all reasons.
